Why does Bangladesh have so many SEO experts?
Bangladesh is one of the world’s largest sources of online freelancers. The Oxford Internet Institute’s Online Labour Index 2020 found that Bangladesh’s share of the online workers it tracks grew from 10% in 2017 to 15% in 2021, while India’s share rose from 25% to 33%. Many of these freelancers offer SEO and digital marketing, and a search for “SEO expert in Bangladesh” returns page after page of people who all call themselves the best.
That choice is good news for buyers, but it makes vetting harder. Many “top 10” pages don’t say who wrote them or why someone is listed. I started doing SEO in 2021 and still work with clients on Fiverr and Upwork, so I know how hard it is for buyers to tell real experience from marketing. That is why every entry below links to evidence you can check.
How did we choose these SEO experts?
We started with the names that come up when people search for the best or top SEO expert in Bangladesh, including existing lists, press articles and marketplace profiles. Then we opened each expert’s own website and public profiles and kept only Bangladeshi SEO experts who are currently active, whose key facts we could verify, and who either live in Bangladesh or still actively serve Bangladesh, for example through a team or training for students there. We scored everyone on five criteria that anyone can check in public:
- Years active: 10 or more years in SEO, based on a start year stated on their site, profile or in the press.
- Public portfolio or case studies: named clients or real data (for example Search Console results) published online.
- Public reviews: ratings on a third-party platform such as Clutch, a review site or a freelance marketplace, not only testimonials on their own site.
- Published content or community contribution: courses, YouTube, articles, conference talks or free tools.
- Agency or freelance track record: an active agency, consultancy or freelance profile that takes SEO clients today.
Positions #2 to #10 are ordered by how many of these criteria we could verify, with ties broken by years active. We did not use follower counts, self-given titles like “best SEO expert”, or traffic claims we could not check. Where a figure comes only from the expert’s own site, we say so. Ekram Hossen, at #1, was placed there by us. On the same five criteria he meets four: case studies published on his site, public reviews as a Top Rated freelancer on Upwork and a Level 2 seller on Fiverr, a YouTube channel and blog, and an active agency serving clients in 45+ countries. He does not yet have 10 years in SEO.
Who did we leave out, and why?
Some well-known names did not fit this list’s scope. Jinnat Ul Hasan, founder of Whizz People, is respected in the Bangladeshi SEO community, but his site says he is based in London and currently leads SEO and AI in-house at FTD Digital. Nasir Uddin Shamim of NShamimPRO has taught thousands of people SEO in Bangla, but his own FAQ says he no longer takes client projects. Several strong in-house SEOs at Bangladeshi newspapers were also left out because they are not available for client work.

How to choose an SEO expert in Bangladesh
Whoever you shortlist, use the same questions. Google’s own guide, Do you need an SEO?, suggests asking every candidate:
- “Can you show me examples of your previous work and share some success stories?”
- “Do you follow the Google Search Essentials?”
- “What kind of results do you expect to see, and in what timeframe? How do you measure your success?”
- “What’s your experience in my industry?” and “What’s your experience in my country/city?”
Then check the answers against public evidence: open the case studies, look the expert up on Clutch, Fiverr or Upwork, and ask to speak with a past client. Google also advises that during an audit you “only grant read access to Search Console”. I follow the same rule myself: every audit at Optihole starts with read-only access.
Red flags to avoid
- Guaranteed rankings. Google is blunt: “No one can guarantee a #1 ranking on Google.” It also warns about anyone claiming a “special relationship” with Google.
- Secret methods. If an expert won’t explain what they will change and why, walk away.
- Cheap backlink bundles. Buying links to manipulate rankings breaks Google’s spam policies and can hurt your site.
- Unsolicited emails claiming your site “is not listed” on search engines.
- Proof you can’t check, such as cropped screenshots with no site name or date.
Freelancer or agency?
A freelancer or solo consultant suits a clear, defined job: an audit, a technical fix or a local SEO setup, with your own team doing the rest. An agency suits ongoing work that needs strategy, content, links and reporting together. Several experts on this list offer both, often a personal consulting service alongside an agency team.
How much does an SEO expert in Bangladesh cost?
Most experts quote after an audit, but a few publish starting prices. These are the public figures we found in October 2026:
| Expert or agency | Published price | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Optihole (Ekram Hossen) | Custom plans from BDT 30,000 per month (Bangladesh) | Optihole Bangladesh page |
| Rank Trends (Md. Yousuf Ali) | SEO from BDT 12,000 per month (Bangladesh) or $150 per month (international) | Rank Trends |
| Khan IT (Md Faruk Khan) | Minimum project $1,000+; $25 to $49 per hour | Clutch profile |
| Md. Jakir Hossain | Consultation at $10 per hour | mdjakirhossain.com |
For context, Ahrefs’ global SEO pricing survey found an average hourly rate of $111. Bangladeshi experts usually charge less, but compare what is included, not just the price: an audit report alone is very different from implementation plus monthly reporting.

Final thoughts
Bangladesh has a deep pool of SEO talent, from agency founders working with national brands to technical consultants and trainers who taught many of the country’s SEOs. The right expert for you is the one whose proof matches your goal. Shortlist two or three, ask them the same questions, and compare the answers in writing.
If you would like Optihole on that shortlist, request a free SEO audit.
